oktober 2013 At HERE, they build maps for how people live. They are relevant, reliable and delightful every day and everywhere. That is why they say “we create Maps for Life”. They will become the world’s first location cloud company, offering products and services that work across screens and operating systems. HERE is a Nokia business unit that brings together Nokia's mapping and location assets under one brand.
HERE is a Nokia business unit that brings together Nokia's mapping and location assets under one brand. The technology of HERE is based on a cloud-computing model. HERE has maps in nearly 200 countries, offers voice guided navigation in 94 countries, provides live traffic information in 33 countries and has indoor maps available for about 49,000 unique buildings in 45 countries.
NOKIA’S business unit HERE (formely Navteq) has added their livery to the TRUE 2 collection vehicles. For the implementation HERE has appointed GLIMMA, a network group partner of Omnimark. On a global level, we have completely wrapped a variety of vehicles in full colour prints. Per area (EMEA, Americas and APAC), coordination was provided by a regional GLIMMA representative, productions and installations carried out locally and the whole project overseen centrally by GLIMMA, controlling quality and project planning. GLIMMA’s projectmanagers (with a central role in the Netherlands) were in contact with the responsible HERE employees on a daily basis.
The fleet that collects the data for the HERE maps (vehicles with intricate technical equipment that collect data for the production of the maps for computers and mobile devices) is spread out across the globe and operational 24/7, creating a challenge to try to adhere to the set project scheduling. GLIMMA ensures that the project which kicked off July 2013 will be “wrapped up” by the end of the year.
